Commercial grade bungee cords are used for their consistent resistive qualities. The cords are more attractive, more durable and safer than current competitors’ rubbing tubing or latex bands. There are five resistance levels to choose from ranging from very light to extremely challenging. Each resistive level is color coded for identification and instructional purposes. The wide range of levels allows for further customization of programs to meet individual users’ needs – both current and future. Each cord is approximately three feet long and includes two five-inch wide handles, made of custom foam cell plastic. One carabiner is used to attach the cord to the wall unit.
The lug cuff is used for lower body exercises. It is constructed of nylon webbing and a soft fleece-like material for ease of use and comfort. The sixteen inch cuff utilizes an adjustable sliding “snugger” clip to hold the cuff in position while exercising. A steel carabiner is used to connect the cuff to the handle(s) of the desired exercise cord.
Stability Plus provides users with video-based instruction available both through the Internet and on DVD. Each exercise has a step-by-step video that explains the “how” and “why” of each motion. The videos include: exercise facts, basic fundamentals with helpful hints and a slow-motion depiction of proper exercise form.
Printed Instructional Manual
Also included with every Stability Plus package is a printed Instructional Manual complete with detailed photos and explanations for each exercise. The manual can also be printed directly from the Web Portal in full or in part. For more detailed study or prominent placement near the wall unit, a full-page placard for each individual exercise can also be printed from the Web Portal.
Web Portal – Registration and Documentation
One of the most exciting features of the Stability Plus program is the patent-pending Graphic User Interface (GUI) that enables those with little or no computer experience to simply and easily navigate through the online process. With a just few clicks, practitioners can register their patients, generate a random user ID, create a customized workout for them, enter assessment data and then track results on a real-time basis. On the flip side, patients can get their registered user ID from their practitioner and use it to enter their workout data without even knowing how to type! A series of drop-down menus and clicks enables even the most inexperienced computer users to leverage the power of technology. The ability to track progress helps to motivate patients to stick with their rehabilitation programs, and the increased accountability means that practitioners can determine whether or not their prescription is being followed.
